THE FOXHOLE
Los Angeles, 1943. When Angelo Scali returns to the LAPD from the war, he quickly learns the home he looked forward to is not as sweet as he had imagined. In the Pacific, the enemy was clearly defined. Now on his home turf, the battle is different. Scali must face a new kind of evil – one that lurks in the shadows of deceit and corruption, in a place where few things are as they seem and even his closest allies cannot be trusted.
Working his first case as a detective, Scali is paired with his long-time friend to solve a high-stakes murder involving the killing of a young Hollywood actor, who also happened to be the leading candidate for an upcoming political election.
But while Scali and his partner race against time to solve the case, the understaffed police department fights its own battle – one that could target Scali if he doesn’t find the source. The very freedom he fought for now hangs in the balance as murder and corruption threaten his city. And as the case evidence unfolds, Scali begins to realize the crime may not only involve someone close to him but may also have a dark and twisted connection to his own past.
